The Summer School "Multiscale Modelling and Ecological Macroeconomics" offers an intensive (three days full immersion) and interdisciplinary exploration of cutting-edge tools and frameworks to analyze the dynamic interplay between economic, social, and environmental systems. This unique program bridges theory and application, equipping participants with essential skills to model complex socio-ecological phenomena across multiple scales. By the end of the program, participants will have a robust understanding of how to utilize socio-ecological modeling tools to inform policy decisions, assess trade-offs, and design integrated strategies for sustainable development. This summer school is particularly suited for PhD students and early-career researchers interested in ecological economics, environmental policy, and systems analysis.
After the summer school there will be the Workshop: Macroeconomic Challenges of the Green Transition III on September, 11-12 , organized by the Ecohesion Collective and the Department of Economics at the University of Pisa. More information here.
